i’ve always been horrified by what i heard about JCA. change needs to happen now for a school that claims to be catholic and prestigious.

JCA can no longer hide behind Catholicism as a means to discriminate against marginalized students. Black students deserve better. Black students need JCA to be better.

The students of Joliet Catholic Academy deserve to attend a school that accepts them no matter who they are.

I stand by the black students and alumni of JCA. As a queer/trans individual, I have the duty to stand up against injustice wherever I see it-just as others have done for me. Racism isn’t the only major issue that JCA harbors. I hope this petition will not only start the conversation about racism, but be a catalyst for change regarding lgbt phobia/sexism etc as well.
