New LA Co. fire station above 210 fwy. ..., also, City of LA needs to support north-east valley and build an accessible community center.'

I'm so grateful for our incredible LAFD services and thankful that the initiative is being taken to make sure they have the resources they need to address the needs of our community! Thank You!!

We need more fire stations when we had the Sylmar fire. Firemen were asked to go to Porter Ranch but a few firemen decided to stay here in Sylmar. You do not know what it's like to have a fire around you scary.

This is highly needed for all the people in this area! Not only are there many families with kids, but there are also many seniors.

Fire DP should subcontract ambulatory services this would free up there resources. City of Pomona uses Schaefer Ambulance for basic EMT work and reserve advance EMT services to fire paramedics

One fire station with one ambulance is not enough for 90000 stakeholders.

We desperately need more than one firetruck and more than one ambulance. We're near the hills, we've been through a severe fire already once, with several fires in the area. There are too many homeowners families women and children that need the support of absolutely more than one fire truck and absolutely more than one ambulance.

90,000 people "protected" by 1 fire truck and 1 ambulance at 1 ancient fire station! Tell me what other city this size in the US has as few emergency response assets. Tell me!

Yes we need a fire dept. in Sylmar, my homeowners policy is a lot more due to the fact that there is not a fired Dept. within 5 miles.

We are in such desperate need of a new firehouse. Honestly in my neighborhood alone, Santiago Eststed, we have the fire engines, paramedics up here almost on a daily basis. I don't know how this one little dept. can even remotely cover 12 miles. It absolutely makes no sense whatsoever. Please listen the community of Sylmar, we need HELP!!!

The construction of a new, ADDITIONAL fire station in the Sylmar community equipped with a Truck/Ladder Company, Engine Company and Ambulances to compliment the work of Fire Station 91 • The construction and renovation of Fire Station 91 because the current facility is too small and incapable of housing additional suppression equipment and ambulances

This is a snip from a letter to the City Council Public Safety Committee on 2/2016 from the President of LAFD Union - UFLAC "The United Firefighters of Los Angeles City strongly supports any of the following actions, which would immediately improve our ability to respond to fires and major medical emergencies in Sylmar and the surrounding communities: • Restoration of the closed Engine at Fire Station 75 in Mission Hills • Restoration of the closed Engine at Fire Station 74 in Tujunga • The construction of a new, ADDITIONAL fire station in the Sylmar community equipped with a Truck/Ladder Company, Engine Company and Ambulances to compliment the work of Fire Station 91 • The construction and renovation of Fire Station 91 because the current facility is too small and incapable of housing additional suppression equipment and ambulances These are the only measures that will truly provide the life saving resources that we need in Sylmar to properly serve this community."
