Please keep this program in place . Not only is it great for the kids and police to forge positive relationships, it’s also important to have the presence in the schools to keep our precious children safe from the harm that can come from disturbed individuals

I firmly believe in this cause. The SRO build positive relationships with students and really help them make good decisions and provide guidance along with providing safety in the school.

Who’s stupid idea is it to take the police out, they were put in the schools to keep our children safe. Obviously the people who want hem out don’t have children. When the next school shooting happens it’s going to be the ones that want them out, screaming where were the police!!’

Please keep our resource officers in the school system. They have only a positive effect on our children’s learning environment and we have the BEST police force who really care!! Don’t succumb to those that make demands that make NO sense

This is an invaluable resource for students and staff. The history of tragic events across the nation have demonstrated the never expiring need.

I fully support having a SRO in the Easthampton schools. Number one reason is the safety of our children. Plus I believe it’s important for the children to learn that the police are there to help them and build trust with them.

Please remember the past school shootings and the difference a police officer being there immediately and how it would’ve changed things

This is a very important position..... The school resource officer (SRO) works to build relationships with students and faculty...... The school resource officer is part of the solution and not the problem.... Removing this person would be detrimental to the school community.

I strongly advocate for law enforcement officers to be present in the school districts. It builds a relationship with law enforcement and the community and keeps everyone safe.

I grew up in Easthampton and attended Easthampton schools my entire life. We had a SRO in the schools and all of the students had a great relationship with the officers. Students felt they could go to the SRO with anything often times going to the SRO before a teacher.

I am in favor of this because the way the world is now, children need to feel safe in their school as they learn. I am not an Easthampton resident now, but have lived my entire life there until a few years ago, and I do have family in the school system.

I absolutely do not want to see the school resource officers removed. It is very important for the kids safety as well as giving them a daily opportunity to have someone they can come to know and to trust if they are fearful in anyway.

I can clearly remember my SRO when I was in school and only have good memories and experiences of him. We learned important life lessons and he was always available to talk with any issue.
