Livermore needs more housing in the valley not in the hills like Dublin.

There is no need to keep this site. There are other sites in the district that can be reopened if needed. As a Joe Michell parent, I do not want to see the middle school separated from the TK-5. That is one of the reasons we have stayed at JMS! We like the TK-8 atmosphere. There is no overcrowding at our school. We have simply managed to get to capacity thanks to the amazing IB program.

The rezoning and sale of Sonoma is the responsible thing to do. The site has become a hazard and a source of additional city cost (many fire and police responses over recent years). It's time to make the Sonoma site productive again and let the students and the city of Livermore benefit from the sale.

I support this project for many reasons. My children did attend the Sonoma site and are now in the LVJUSD system. The district will benefit through this sale with an increase of funds made available for additional technology in the schools. This is a good thing for our children in these schools. This site, as it stands, is not inhabitable and does not benefit the community. In addition, I also support it being rezoned for residential development. Understanding that Livermore wants to maintain its open spaces, infill residential is a way to successfully do that and still provide the opportunity for families to purchase a home in our great city. Families still would like to buy homes, like those being proposed for this site.

Moving forward with the project makes total sense for the area and community because of the need for additional housing for the City of Livermore as well as needed funds for the Livermore School District.

Please support the sale of this property. It is of no use to our community as it is. LVJUSD has done responsible planning for this sale and it make the most sense for Livermore.

Failure to rezone benefits a few. Rezoning and sale benefits 13,000 students plus everyone in the community who benefits from an educated society. That's everyone, even the people objecting.

Rezoning this site will provide significant benefits to the community and to the school district. As it stands, it is an eyesore and negatively impacts real estate values. Reopening it as a middle school is not practical--Arroyo Mocho and Almond Avenue are available and would require less work. Don't let a vocal minority derail a plan that has been researched and discussed for over a year.
