I got married in Sandbridge at the Palazzo and it was absolutely beautiful. I believe as long as guests are respectful of the residents, weddings and special events should be allowed. It's a beautiful area and it should be shared with all.

This is so sad... who are these people who want to do this? What kind of people don't like weddings? I hope the GOOD people of Sandbridge are louder than the small-minded few.

The article in the Virginian was very negative towards the families that rent each year in Sandbridge. We've rented there for 2 weeks for years and have never encountered the scenarios that were stated in the article. If we had never been there and I read that article, we would never vacation there, it sounds like a terrible place to vacation with your family.

I've been a resident of Sandbridge for over 30 yrs and an event home owner with never one problem concerning this issue. Though one small group (3-4 individuals) is holding our community hostage for their own limited understanding. To restrict family reunions or weddings in such a beautiful environment as Sandbridge would be a shame :(

I've heard nothing but great things about sandbridge, this is our first year renting a home here. We are looking for something low key, quiet, a place to come to for years to come with our family. Sharing something so beautiful as everything I've heard about sandbridge should be shared.

We have owned our home in Sandbridge for over 14 years. It has been a rental property along with some use for ourselves. It is a small four bedroom. Our son got married there several years ago. We have had graduation party's there. We have made beautiful memories there as well as other families. In all the years we have owned there I have never seen anything out of control. The realty companies that manage these properties do an excellent job in screening renters. Sandbridge is one of the safest places you can be. This should speak of the kind of people that rent these houses. Our family totally supports the event homes.

As a previous homeowner of rental property (for over 20 years) and then a primary property owner living in Sandbridge for 4 years and now an occasional renter of a Sandbridge home for vacation, I can only imagine that couple and families would seek out the many joys of Sandbridge for special occasions. One group came for a special event and a family from Iceland very graciously and happily rented our home. A training was held very successfully for a Guided Imagery and Music group. I fully support the wonderful Sandbridge area as a place for special events and well-behaved groups, as well as families of all sizes.

To the small group asking for changes in the law that will make it impossible to have events in Sandbridge and by extension in Virginia Beach: please do not ruin it for everyone, the benefit to you is questionable.
