weddings and/ or other events do not take place every weekend or all week long. and, the hours of music could be somewhat restricted and the decimal level could be limited. The motel next door could pass out noise cancelling ear devices if one is concerned. I know I would enjoy overhearing music from someone's happy wedding reception. I imagine the ugly head of village politics is involved.

I agree with the above. the River is not totally quiet. The Garrett's have done an absolutely stunning job in creating a reasonable use for that property. I am sure a reasonable compromise could be achieved. some places hold events almost constantly and there does not seem to be any concerns about the resulting noise, traffic, etc.

I feel that a compromise agreeable to all concerned should be able to be achieved. that property is stunning and would be a great asset to the area.

I would like to correct one of my statements -- I heard a Clayton winery did not want this place to open , for fear of competition -- BUT I have no idea if it was Coyote Moon or not - I don`t know for sure, and I would like to correct that statement!!

It`s in an area of many motels and outdoor recreation areas -- during the daytime, there is noise from many boats and ships going by, and noise from the motel and playground areas near-by. I don`t think there would be that much more noise from weddings or family get-togethers!!

This is a beautiful place, and just because Coyote Moon doesn`t want competition, is no reason to not let this place open. Everyone has liked the way Clayton has expanced with so many new stores and shops. This is a golden opportunity to bring more revenue for Clayton, and to get more tourists there.

The new owners began advertising and holding events before attaining any permits or authorization. In fact, they were DENIED the permits. They are trying to hold large outdoor events that will disturb all surrounding houses and camps, located in a Marine Residential Area. The new owners are multi-millionaires that have handled this in a way that resembles schoolyard bullies rather than individuals who look to bring commerce and opportunity to the area. There is a reason that these zoning laws exist.

What a beautiful idea! Who would not want year round tourism? I feel they should be allowed to open Fairview Manor to the public.

This is a property that would have gone to waste and come off the tax rolls if not for Garretts private investment.
Clayton should be doing everything can to help business.
It is as valid as any current winery or distillery in the area. Help them get to "yes", anyone can get to "no".

Here is a local business with NO government subsidies. Or would you rather have the state give your tax money, tax credits etc to foreign company's? !!! wake up Clayton

Correction: town politics
