The Vermont State is considering passing a very important bill, S.113, the most comprehensive environmental bill on plastic pollution in the nation. S.113, if passed, will ban plastic straws, plastic bags and polystyrene (Styrofoam) altogether in the state. The Vermont State Legislature has passed legislation. We are now calling on Governor Phil Scott to sign S.113 into a law.
With 8 million tons of plastic flowing into the oceans, we do not want more plastics. Support the S.113. Help us ban single-use plastic products and apply a fee on paper bags to ensure a shift to reusable products in the Green Mountain State.
Sick of seeing plastic bags stuck in the trees on my walk to work. End it now.
