Rollins Pond is the best campground around. It would be sad to see that the people would not be able to rent boats there anymore. It is a great convenience for campers that don't have canoes or kayaks. Please keep the boat rentals.
I depend on them every year to rent a kayak to explore rollins pond and the flood wood loop.

We have been going to Rollins Pond for 39 years and have always appreciated the fact that we can rent kayaks, canoes, and back in the day, paddleboats, conveniently at our own campground. This is part of our camping tradition for our entire family. All our now adult children still look forward to their yearly trip around the Rollins Pond-Fish Creek loop. This family has always been easy to deal with, very fair, friendly and honest. I would hate to see this happen for them or all the campers that would miss this great experience of exploring the ponds.

I was the Caretaker from 2011-2014 and not only are the Peglows amazing at what they do but they are a staple at Rollins Pond.The very reason upon which the DEC camps were created was for local jobs and local revenue. This is going against the mission statement of the DEC.

I used to go here as a kid and my family and I always went out on the boats and had a blast I have very fond memories and to take this away is just plain absurd

I brought my two children their camping when they were young. My son is now 41 and my daughter is 34 and they are still talking about what a great time they had and how they want to bring my grand kids there too. Please keep it going so that is possible.

I've spent summers up here, and know the family and business well, along with helping them for a few summers in high school. I know what the business means to people's experience in the Adirondacks, and taking it away, not just from the family, but from the campers isn't right.

This is a value added service to everyone that camps at both Rollins Pond and Fish Creek Ponds.
Also note that many other parks rent kayaks and boats even State Parks such as Green Lakes State Park.
