Support Quality Public Education through School Choice

I support school choice. My children are thriving in their current school. I have met so many teachers and students that have had greatly improved quality of life by switching to a different education model. I would love to se SDSU take these models and make them move available instead of denying students and teachers access to them. Please work together!

Please let parents have options for their children’s schooling.

IA Charter school is amazing!

My son has thrived in the charter school setting...the public schools were not able to meet his needs! It would be a CRIME to deny parents' choice in where to send kids to school!

Charter Schools give kids varied educational experiences of value to society.

This school is a necessity for my children. They function well in this environment

Charter schools are the foundations of the future. More and more companies are now focusing on the social skills and team member mentality than technical skillset. Instead of limiting the Charter vision, the district should promote other schools to adopt the same approaches Charter schools are practicing.

We chose a charter school for my son due their sound academic curriculum and also because their emotional growth curriculum. My son today has grown to be an emotional intelligent child, understanding and accepting of others. He applies empathy, compassion and collaboration not only at school with his peers, but also with any other person he encounters. I believe there is a high need in our society for children that can have this focus and be role models for theirs peers. We are grateful for having a choice of selecting this school for all the reasons above. Charters schools in our experience can help improving our society by improving diversity.

Parental choice should not be taken away. Charter Schools provide alternative experiences for children that contribute to having people with diverse educational backgrounds. Keep school choice alive!

My daughter has been thriving in charter school. She recently switched to charter school and has been a very happy child since then. They offer her to love science for the sake of learning and non mundane rigid grading system process.

I fully support school choice. This should not be in question at all. Charter schools provide learning environments for children who were failed by public schools. Our experience with charter schools was positive and beneficial.

Our children's' education comes first; parents who support and bring their kids to charter schools are the ones who understand this the most.

If voted yes to deny people the opportunity to attend a charter school, then you deny people the freedom of choice. It is well known that every person learns different and has different needs. In our free society We try to understand and accommodate. By denying charter schools you deny freedom.

Members of the Board, please apply logic when deciding on this near and dear topic. My family has been fortunate to be part of charter school within San Diego Unified (Innovations Academy). Our 3 children all attend and we feel blessed to be part of such a special community. Thank you for listening.

Do not take away parents right to alternative education models. Not only those who can afford private school should have access to these models. They should be open to everyone

School Choice is a vital part of a great school system. Don't take choices away from parents!

Every parent deserves the choice of the educational opportunities that best suits their child NOT A DISTRICT OR A POLITICIAN.
