Please pass this legislation for the Acquired Brain Injury Fund. I am a parent of a young adult who lives with the life long deficits of a Right Brain Stroke. Thus fund would really help me to get the services/ therapies that would help strengthen his body. Thank you in advance for your consideration. I hope and pray you will do the right thing for this brain injured . population

My daughter is 25 years old and had 3 brain surgeries for a cavernoma malformation on her brain stem We need help . TBI fund told us they could not help because she didnt have blunt trauma to her head. Insurance only allows minimal thearpy visits and she will need months of thearpy to recover.

My wife had a ruptured aneurysm causing a major stroke. She’s in a wheelchair now and can’t speak. The TBI fund provided no assistance whatsoever and was completely useless to us.

My mother had an Anoxic Brain Injury and it would be really helpful to have more resources and funds for this category of brain injury available to help improve the lives of ABI survivors just like TBI funds do.

As a therapist working with brain injuries, one of our largest barriers to discharge home is lack of resources and funding to address non-medical needs.

This fund is definitely needed for those with acquired brain damage. People need to feel they can have help when it is needed no matter what the circumstances may be.

I have a abi and you talk to anyone they only know about tbi. So you have to explain everytime even talking to a professional
