We petition the Food Network, Target, JC Penney, Walmart, Sears, Smithfield Foods, Home Deport and Caesars Entertainment to renew their contracts with Mrs. Paul Deen. Even though Mrs. Deen admitted to using a racial slur, it was decades ago, she apologized for using this word and it was spoken privately with her husband after an African American male pointed a gun at her during a robbery. These businesses are probably afraid that Civil Rights Leaders will threaten them with boycotts, marches, or lawsuits. Also, they see Mrs. Deen as an easy target since she is a Conservative Southern white female. In the meantime, signers of this petition will no longer patronize businesses who severed ties with Mrs. Deen.
