I am appalled at the way Paul was treated. I think he has done so much good for this town and went above and beyond his duties and always tried keeping us updated and safe during weather conditions or other situations. I have had nothing but positive interfaces with Paul Montoya. My grandchildren all loved his attention to kids and the 16 year old even commented that he was the best thing to ever happen to Hallsville. Big mistake and a number of City Council members will probably not be returning for another term along with the mayor.

Paul has helped my my family on several occasions. He has responded outside of hallsville city limits and went off duty. Seems like exactly the type of person that this town needs his police chief. And involved and caring but tough person.

What a terrible thing to happen to such a wonderful person who obviously cares deeply for his community. I no longer live there, but love being able to keep up with the great things happening there through his posts.

This is wrongful termination all because he did the job that school officers should have been doing.

This man has been a positive influence since he came to hallsville almost 4years ago. He deserves to remain our police chief!

I personally do not know Cheif Montoya. I have a granddaughter at HJH and she does nothing but sing his praises.
