We got an excellent police chief who supports our whole community. Have yet to see another chief in east Texas who uses his facebook to promote our bobcats and town activities!

I support Paul 100%. I've seen first hand how much he cares for our kids and the community. He is involved in so much. Football games, cheerleading (school and H&T), fundraisers, community gathering in the park etc. I could go on and on. I think this is a huge mistake and I do NOT support it. Thank you, Tim Shelton

No words can describe what the "mayor" has done. Chief Montoya is an outstanding guy and to do what has been done behind closed doors is absolute corruption!

Hallsville has lost their mind.... If you vote him out then we the people will vote you all out.. Go to the middle school and look at how the school is having people drive on the wrong side of the road to get in and out of the school. It's the school polices fault and if I have a wreck by having to drive on the wrong side of the road I will sue the school and the city.. It's rediclous.. A accident waiting to happen...

I think what has happened now absured. He does an amazinggg job in our community!! He not only is a great officer he is highly involved all the way around in our community. That's what we need!! Hallsville is like one huge family and he made us feel that way more than anyone. I'm now considering moving out of Hallsville because of these poor, ridiculous decisions.

I am absolutely outraged at the stupidity of this decision by our city council. Our Police Chief has brought this community together. Let Hallsville residents vote to keep him! Or let us vote you all out!

I think that maybe the city is getting rid of the wrong person here, I'm surely disappointed that my tax dollars are paying for the new superintendent and HISD police
