The national lockdown of March 2020 closed down all non essential businesses . The baby class industry was closed and millions of parents of infants were denied their right to attend a baby class and seek the advice and support they required when they were at their most vulnerable.

Since then the U.K. has seen a rise in post natal mental health cases as a cause of the lockdown which caused parents to feel isolated, unsupported and anxious.

With the new November lockdown there has been insufficient guidance as to whether baby groups fall under the “support groups” umberella.

Parents who attend these classes feel they do and feel anxious that their baby is missing out on major developmental milestones and that their well-being and risk of feeling even more isolated is at risk.

Please help support the lockdown2020 families in the U.K. by allowing baby classes to continue to run by allowing them to fall under the “support group” Umbrella.
