The admittance of remarried divorcees to communion without repentance and a commitment to chastity is a de facto heretical position and must be rejected.

The Cardinal wishes to restrain priests from speaking out in support of an artcle which has formed a constant and unwavering tenet of the Catholic faith affirmed emphatically by St JP ii about 30 years ago. Why is this. Would he similarly seek to prevvent them from speaking out in favour od the Virgin Birth, the Resurrection, the Immaculate Conception or Papal Infallbility? Or is it that the Cardinal, like many other prelates it would seem accepts only those teacings of the Church which suit his personal taste

I am delighted to see the names of priests from the Norbertine Community that minister to our linked parishes. As a 2012 convert I have been shocked at the amount of dissent, liberalism, modernism and protestantism from far too many in the so-called hierachy. Divine Providence has placed our beloved White Canons here 'on our doorstep' - Deo Gratias!!

Cardinal Nichols, please leave our priests' freedom to free speech alone. They work hard everyday, and they know best what the laity wants and needs. Please remember, too, that our Sunday offerings are not mandatory, as they should never be, but if necessary, we will use our money as means of fighting any dogmatic change in the Church, that is contrary to CHRIST teaching- especially allowing the Holy Communion to homosexuals, and divorced remarried. Our priests are in the forefront of the battle with today's apostles of progressive evil and they deserve to do their job with our fear from their superiors and according to the teachings of our Mother Church. I find your intervention to be counterproductive, humiliating, and troubling, because frankly speaking, it was supposed to be yourself and your Cardinal colleagues who should sign such a declaration- easing the concernes of priests and laity.

It's a disgrace that any cleric would not uphold Christ's teaching. Are only 500 faithful?
