I’ve been self employed as a sole trader for 6 years. I’ve subcontracted work worth thousands of dollars to other self employed photographers. My sources of income have literally evaporated with the current rules around social distancing. Why is there no provision for me under the current grants available to small business?

Agree, we work from home with a mobile workforce and having security for our business / home / vehicle would be great.

Sole traders can pay rent, so allow flexible with the grant to allow them to improve the business, not just property.

I work for an accounting tax company in Darwin, and it saddens me how much the sole trader small business has suffered over the past 6 months in the Territory. They should be eligible for this business grant to give them a boost to upgrade what they need to keep their business running. I hope you will take this petition into consideration.

This shouldn't even be a consideration. A sole trader is a Territory business too. Sole traders employ people, contract people and contribute to the economy.

Small business with workshops and offices at home add value to the economy and need access to this grant to improve their business delivery to help the NT during these hard economic times. Don’t forget about us Mr Gunner!

Not all employers and successful businesesses require a shop front... my website could do with $10k to expand my national reach.

It’s disgraceful the NT Government have chosen to not support sole business operators or those that work from home, not a shopfront. Hundreds of Territorian businesses preluded.
