It would be great if we could get a bus from Watergrasshill village to the school also.

This a badly needed service, and long over due. White's Cross is a large area and whos population is only increasing. A 2nd bus is urgently required. .

This is a much needed service in the area & no child should be left without a place on this bus. If a second bus is required to meet demand then please provide it.

There seems to be a scheduling issue internally within Bus Eireann where I see the following issues:
1. There is a mismatch between the schools where the students are attending & the bus capacity is not aligned. This is evident when applying for the school bus and the nominated local school. Any parent who has filled out the forms has come across this issue.
2. There is a restriction on bus capacity and the correct amount of buses is not aligned to the right schools. Again this is an issue with the internal data base set up.
Solution:
1. Each parent has been asked to sign up for the 2024 bus service before the end of April. Parents will need to make sure the right data is put onto the system during this time period.
2. There is a known issue where they are not able to put in the right school due to the database set up not aligning the student to the right school. Can Bus Eireann reach out to each applicant to confirm the data after the application deadline.
3. During the month of May get the relevant people around a table to figure out numbers for September 2024. While the data may not be 100% correct there should be sufficient information available to make a decision regarding bus capacity & student alignment.
4. If there are going to be issues (this is real world) which no doubt there will be please call them out during the month of May.
5. Have a "rough cut" schedule completed before the end of May.
5. This is not a political issue. It is a capacity planning processing issue.
Where political intervention is needed is to make sure that Bus Eireann assign the right resources in the capacity planning phase to ensure each student gets assigned a place for 2024.

With no public transport infrastructure in Whitescross, it is imperative there is a facility for all children to be able to avail to bus transfers to their secondary school
This would be extremely useful, thank you
