My street generally looks a mess. I am frequently cleaning it myself! Also the weeds that are growing and are not being removed are making it look worse.
Fortnightly collections will encourage rats to appear.

Well what do say about Merton Council they are spending money on this project when it could be spent else where. All these bins outside peoples homes will make our borough look like the local tip. Also why was this not trialed across the whole of Merton not just one area which is in Mitcham. Disgusting attitude from the Councillors for Bringing this in . Also many people do not need or want these large bins and should be given option of the small bins, This is just like Labour and the Lib Dems don listen to the Electorate.

In the hot weather, the rubbish starts to smell after just 1 week, they should have asked all of Merton residents, not just a few. I hate the thought of the extra bins as well, as a family of 2 the boxes already issued are more than enough for the recycling and we recycle everything possible.

Merton will become even dirtier if weekly collections stop. Do not let this happen.

This cannot go ahead- a rethink is required otherwise it is going to be complete chaos

It does not work in sutton borough. The stench of missed collections is everywhere. Our clean air is getting dirtier. People going on holiday right on top of their collection will have the heartache of people knowing they are away because their bins are still outside

No consultation. A poorly thought through scheme. We should retain the weekly bin/recycling collections.
