The fact that our district doesn't measure up relative to others in the area is a travesty. Our best hopes for improving our schools lies in the quality of our teachers (not of our tech), and non-competitive pay will surely compromise that key asset.

Please help keep great teachers in Benicia. It is very competitive to obtain quality teachers and the BUSD pay scale is not helping the situation. Please support your schools.

Come On !!! Teachers are what make or break our kids. Let's get good education here. My daughter had a Spanish class with a substitute who didn't even speak Spanish !!! Attract good teachers !!

Many people move here just to send their kids to a "good" public school program. If we start to lose our excellent teachers you stand to threaten our community. I for one do not want my child being taught by a non credentialed "teacher" or somebody less qualified. I feel our curriculum has already diminished over the years and we can't afford to also throw in unqualified teachers to that mix.

We moved to Benicia because of the good schools. Love our teachers!

The teacher should be pay more that the administrators , they do all the work . The administrators the only thing they do is cut and cut the salaries so they can have more for themselves.

Understand your building a new football field at the high school........give that money to teachers!!!

I'm not a parent but I went to Benicia schools, starting at Mary Farmer then the middle school and then the high school. I know how great the teachers are and how important it is to have good teachers at our schools. They deserve much more of a raise than what they are asking for.
