This petition is to show support for the Michigan NRC and it's recommendation that the Southern Lower Peninsula Deer Management Initiative (SLP DMI) go through the mandatory antler restriction process. The process was set up as a way for certian special interest groups ( QDMA ) to have a way to impose there management philosophies on the the deer hunting community. This process set the bar high, so it takes a super majority ( 66% )of the deer hunting community members expressing they are in favor of any proposed AR regulations being proposed ,by using a survey of those that will be affected by any new mandatory antler restriction regulations . This process is important and any mandatory antler restiction proposals should be subject to that process.
