I am lucky in that I had the opportunity to start pre-quarantine early. Not all have this luxury. Hunting it one of the few activities where you can have next to no contact with anyone. Why is this the stand we are making. Many have bought licenses and will hunt regardless of this last minute rule change

Completely agree, and not just in license fees. There is stand costs, labor hours, food plots if they did one, taxes for a camp/land. Time to get land owner permission etc.... the list could go on

I agree. Atleast shumlin was an avid hunter and understood the 10’s of thousands of us in the hunting community!

Brian Sullivan Nov 11, 2020 An protest/ riot by the lefty loosies is called a free speech. ANY protest by the right is called a "super spreader" if we complain! To Phlip Phlop: We get it, Philly- you lost the courage to protect real Vermont traditions. You caved in your spineless accommodations to the left. You are bereft of ANY direction. Hunting, by it's very nature, involves individuals and very small hunting parties. (You prob have never received an invitation to join such parties). We can see to ourselves as we have seen to ourselves for 20,000 years. Please retreat to own, personal BLIND now.

Oak ridges and thick swamps are Covid-19 hotspots! If you get a deer this season please get ahold of me and I’ll take it off your hands, as it’s probably contaminated!

If it was ok for our state to be overrun with leaf peepers then the nine resident hunters are welcome!

Outdoor recreation is the best example of social distancing while still enjoying what little we have left to do.
