As a Nisqually Tribal member and a citizen in Thurston County it makes complete sense to rename Marine Drive to Billy Frank Jr. to honor him and remember his great work and how he always encouraged everyone to, "Tell Your Story!"

His father named me in 1972. He was asked to name me because he was so respected and the elder of the tribe. He impacted so many people and his influence on the area is still felt today. Especially in his son, Billy Frank's, life and legacy. He deserves to be remembered in this way. For his contribution, his family's contribution and the greater Native community's contribution.
