Please rename Marine Drive to Billy Frank Jr. Way as part of the Indigenous Peoples' Day on October 9th. PLEASE!

Changing the name of this street is a small price to pay for thanking a beloved member of our community.

I just learned that there's a movement underway to change the name of Marine Drive to Billy Frank Jr. Way as part of Indigenous People's Day. What a wonderful idea! I'm in full support as a longtime downtown Olympia resident, supporter of indigenous rights and voter, constituent and precinct committee officer. Please, completely rename the street and give full honor to a legendary, honorable, incredible man and to native treaty rights. There's no need for a provision for two names. The right one, Billy Frank Jr. Way, is perfect. Thank you!

I support this change as our children need to have good men to look up to and follow in their footsteps.

I support the renaming of Marine Drive to Billy Frank Jr. Way. Billy Frank Jr. should be recognized have all of his acts of benevolence. We should also continue to honor the 1854 Medicine Creek Treaty Tribes and all of their Tribal Members, Blly Frank Jr. as one of them.
