I've walked by that garage door. Looks great and keeping everything the same seems very old school. As long as an improvement is actually an improvement, then why not?

These garage doors look beautiful, and they enhance the street appeal of the home. The garage doors should be approved by the HOA. Some of the current HOA “approved” styles and colors need to be updated!

Covenants are meant to maintain the appearance and value of a neighborhood. The flexibility to update and customize a house does not detract from the value of a home or neighborhood. In fact, tastefully done upgrades increase the value of a neighborhood. Let's work with the DRC and HOA to change the Covenants to be flexible and allow them to exercise good judgement. Updated Covenant wording should not be so specific as to limit the DRC now or 20 years from now.

Yeah, we sure don’t want garage doors TO LOOK Nicer then the other garage doors in the neighborhood! I support improving the look of our neighborhood. Approve it!

Having every house look exactly the same makes our neighborhood look cookie cutter rather than stepping it up to look custom. This garage door is more modern than what the builder put in 20 years ago. It blends very well with the stone exterior and the neighborhood natural environment look and feel. I wish you success.
