I have supported this project from Day 1, we need a Sainsbury's larger store in Southport and the site needs to be re vitalised.

The proposed Kew Sainsbury's is closer to where we live. Not having to drive into the Town centre would help relieve congestion. I would continue to use the town centre but would use the bus or walk.

The new store will be a great asset to the main competition within souithport between the big stores.

A welcome development that will provide a wider range of options to the shopper.

I wholeheartedly support this plan. I do not use the town centre store , it is not convenient for me. I would however use a larger store.

The Sainsbury's store may make Meols Cop a desirable place place for other businesses and provide competition for existing stores on the site

I am fully supportive of this application and feel it should be given planning permission without delay.

. Sainsbury's at Meols Cop would serve the wider community in Scarisbrick and other areas of Southport . Sainsbury's would bring g choice, completion, clothing, petrol station etc . Is the planning committee making g aware to Sainsbury's the hundreds of new homes have been built at Kew and are still under construction . No mention in the planning of traffic congestion and car pollution this development would create. Plus being so near a school. . Can't see how Sainsbury's will or would damage Lord Street. . BID doing a pretty good job of damaging Lord Street together with Sefton Council in Southport generally . If traffic and pollution a problem on route to the proposed Sainsbury's. Why just a few hundred yards up the road. Has planning permission been allowed for another housing development? Car congestion and time pollution. . Considering the long term residents living near Kew Retail Park who object to the development of Sainsbury's. Did they object to the retail park originally? . Finally what is to happen with the empty, falling into disrepair and becoming unsightly units? Should the units be reoccupied. What about traffic and pollution? NB - What does Sefton council really have on their agenda for these units? Philomena Lawson
