I'm looking forward to joining Tim Kirsopp this morning from 10:30, on 2CC with Rod Henshaw, to promote this terrific community initiative.

overdue. Our playgrounds and recreational spaces are outdated. Something like what the new suburbs have would be nice.

As a recent of Flynn, I know my family will get a lot of use from this proposed playground

Agree that more needs to be done in our suburbs to keep our lovely Territory offering healthy options for young families to enjoy and also encourage positive well-being and healthy lifestyle options open to all Canberrans to share and enjoy.

Most assets need attention.
This space is an asset needing a thoughtful upgrade.

That space looks unsafe for the kids walking to the high school. A dedicated, well kept area would be much safer.

This is a genuine community proposal and the ACT Government needs to show that it's genuine about listening to this community and fix up its recreation space.

A good idea for the local community and a much needed uplift for the area.

I grew up in Melba and now live in Evatt but spend time in and around Melba. Its high time that there were some upgrades and new facilities for older existing suburbs rather than having to drive kilometres to new suburbs to use their new and amazing play areas.

Great idea! The playgrounds around are just useable and really only suit one family at a time.

I’d love to see this area become a loved, used inclusive space for all ages! There’s hardly any new playgrounds in evatt or Melba, they’re old and not very versatile. My toddler can use most of them because they’re not built for little ones but school aged kids only. A nature playground would be excellent!
let’s incorporate a community garden in addition to bring the community together, Maybe the school could be included as stewards of it for ag?
Good luck with all your plans.
