Support Mark Peters of Schenectady Little League

Untrue...regardless of what you think is recorded. I was in the room and no one confirmed ANYTHING happened other than he being ejected Tuesday the 17th (which opposing coaches confirmed was unwarranted - that was ALSO recorded). BTW - way to NOT open the petition again. Your name was removed, now please remove yourself.

No, they are not true and for "the record" there are witnesses who were there who do know this. You were also told this at the meeting but believe what you need to - at this point whatever gets you thru the day. This will also be my last post - as this was a place for positive support and, despite your efforts, we still managed to get that. Thanks to everyone else for your kind words and support. It's wonderful knowing there are people who do know right from wrong and will take a stand against slander.

Hi everyone...this will be my last post and wont open this petition again. I went into this with every intention on supporting this, but as I looked into this and received some phone calls I realized I couldnt and asked for my support to be pulled. Regarding the post from nikki saying things he said were untrue, here are the facts.1) regarding the complaint that mr peters said something derogatory about the gentlemans son last spring, there are 2 witnesses that heard mr peters say it during a game at michigan ave last spring. Mrs siddons is heard on the tape verifying it happened and. 2) regarding the complaint that mr peters went after a jr umpire in a game last fall and was ejected, but he refused to leave the facility and the arguements spilled off the field and up into the announcers area, ive verified with many people that it did in fact occur. Im told overall there were probably around 100 people there as witnesses, Iincluding the gentleman in question since he was a coach on the field that very game andcwas called upstairs to relay his version of the event. And 3) the complaint that mr peters was ejected from a game and suspended on tuesday, june 17 is true. Mr fitzpatrick levied the suspension thereby feeling he did something wrong. All have witnesses, and all were recorded yesterday at the board meeting. The gentleman recorded the events therein and on a 2nd phone had people listening in outside the building. Its now a matter of record and on the recordings there are many people heard discussing each incident. There are none saying none of them happened btw. Please make sure my support was pulled. This gentleman knew what he was up against, but he spoke his mind and these are all facts. Just because there were no incident reports filled out for 1 & 2 above doesnt mean they didnt happen. There are plenty of people who can verify. All these incidents happened during games negating a personal issue. For any kids he is doing good work for, I applaud you. Rest a

And for the record, the "problems" brought to the board are very biased and full of untruths. Even the event of accounts you are outlining are untrue. This individual is upset but he is upset for all the wrong reason and really needs to take a look at himself before he tosses stones.

Im sorry every one but the more I learn about the whole situation im finding things out that make me not want to support mark peters. Its clear that its not a personal vendetta, but a series of events by mark peters in his board and coaching capacity that has the gentleman upset enough for our kids and families that he feels he must file complaints. I myself have been told of specific instances about problems that have come to the boards attention but not been addressed until an outside l.l. rep came to schenectady. I pull my support, please remove my name. Thank you.

Im still signing the petition if mark is doing some good work for the kids and families of schenectady. However the guy in question filing the complaints says its a fact that mark peters wife got him a schenectady l.l. shirt just a short few weeks ago that says coach on the back. A statement was made that hes had other problems in past programs but if that were the case why was he brought back on with no hassle. That makes no sense. Some of the things on here make no sense. Stick to the facts is my advice. But im not posting anything else...he just needs to be heard regardless. Im an outside observer is all. Im staying on as a positive vote.

Nikki...I dont need to hear the other side. I just chimed in to make sure people understand he has a right to file a complaint with the l.l. and that it gets addressed regardless of who gets mad. Ive been told this guy has coached schenectady l.l. for a couple years without incident even coached a minors all star team last summer. He was also taken on as a coach again this spring as well without incident. Schenectady l.l. has had no issues with this guy until he files a complaint im told. Thats whats outthere. Im staying on the support side for now.

Apparently someone facebooked it and sent it out to a myriad of people that proably know nothing about it. So they are in actuality signing blindly as ive said. But this guy does have the right to be heard. Its not pleasant for anyone...but the guy has concerns that should be addressed by the board without bias. If it doesnt happwn that wsy he can have other recourse. Im out.

Tom...I'm not angry. You shouldn't support him if you don't know him. I did not load my petition and didn't put ANY of what occurred into the top. Quite frankly bc I did not expect people who did not know Mark or were not aware of his coaching ability and dedication to the League to sign. I personally don't sign things when I'm not aware of all the details or have strong personal feelings. That's me though. Bottom line...everyone can feel how they wish. I did support him. I wanted the facts is all and unfortunately with these sites people sign them blindly. I saw no comments before mine so.people are just saying yes. There are 2 sides to every story and yours was put at the top of the petition so I got it. Thank you wendi for your infomation about your son and anyone elses too. Glad they had a great experience at schenectady l.l. But again this guy has every single right to file a complaint against a community based program. Jist because people in question dont like it makes no difference. He can voice his opinion present the facts and ask the board to deal with it, regardless of who gets mad. You guys loaded your petition for your side, but put in it that its a personal vendetta when this guy is complaining about specific incidents that have happened through marks official business as board member and coach. Thats exactly it Niki.. Mark has so many people to stand behind him and support him.. its sad to see peoples true colors but it is what it is.. im not feeding into anyones why's and this doesnt add up.. if you support mark great, if not remove your name and be done with it..

Wendi...glad your son is having a good experience with him. Doesnt excuse other things though. Ive been told another parent filed a complaint as well so obviously more than just 1 thing has happened. I was just told he said things about another kid at j.c. and got caught as well. So, glad your son is happy, I really am. But another person told me many things have transpired over and over again and after a while people have enough and want things to change. I think this is why he filed the complaints cuz its a series of things happening over and over again at schenectady l.l. and nothing has gotten done till someone from outside came in. Meanwhile the kids see this and the parents too. Its all not good Wendi.

Ya know what Tom obviously you are being told and believing what you want yes anyone can complain just like coaches being thrown out of games it happens but nobody uses it against someone that is what the suspension is for we have moved on. This guy has been shot down for all his accusations before so this is just another attempt at his yr long vendetta my husband was thrown out too of a few games no one is coming after him. Bottom line is this guy was not even at this game and is trying to add it too his personal bashing please come to the field and introduce your self to Mark and watch him with these kids he is AWESOME! That is all that matters he has a lot of respect for everyone. You can then voice your own opinion but please do not just get one side of the story I invite you to meet my innocent child and ask him about coach Mark

Nikki, I checked on that too about the person. What you say doesnt make sense. He has zero write ups in any program he has been in. No ejections and no suspensions. He has every single right to file a complaint against someone affiliated with schenectady little league...every right. No one can suppress it. The suspension in question for mr peters is now a part of the record that anyone can now ask for. Anything else that transpires becomes a part of the record as well. He can file a j.c. complaint. It appears that its being turned around as personal. And im now told this gentleman was making a concerted effort to have conversations between them.

I hear you leslie. Pls remember I signed this. But again anyone from schenectady can file a complaint against someone from schenectady little league. Thats not personal nor a vendetta. Its a fact. If thats what this man did, then he has every right to do it as does anyone else. I just spoke to someone who says this guys son was at the peters hoise 4-5 times over last few weeks including right after school. The gentleman who filed the complaint simply had enough when he heard peters got tossed from another game leading to a suspension I dont want my name taken off. Im reporting facts that I was told about.

Im not asking you to remove me. I want to know things since I signed this without anything. But I do have to say since he is a resident of schenectady and this is a community based program this person has the right to speak out and file complaints. Its not personal in nature when the complaints are with little league and official business involved. From what im told his kid was just at the peters house for an overnight birthday party. So I dont see how this is personal but im going to check with others to verify the things ive been told happened.

Im just trying to get the facts. The person told me the same thing happened last fall and he got ejected from a game which also got ugly with parents and the child umpire involved. I was also told that he said something about another child last spring and the parents and he had to have a meeting with a board member. They say its not personal since its all related to his coaching duties at j.c. and nothing more. I just want to know since I signed this without anything.
