We, the undersigned property owners within the affected area, hereby formally express our support for the proposed rezoning of 136 S. Acadian Thruway (Mid City Ballroom) in accordance with local and state zoning ordinances.

The proposed rezoning and potential subsequent alcohol use will contribute to the artistic and creative community of our neighborhood for the following reasons:

• The proposed rezoning is in harmony and compatible with the area and will positively affect the creative culture that Mid City, in particular Ogden Park, promotes itself to be.
• This zoning change does not alter the essential character of the neighborhood, as there are seven other properties adjacent to the neighborhood with zones that allow for liquor licenses.
• The above-mentioned properties have in no way negatively impacted the property values of their neighbors. In fact, property values have continued to rise.
• This will not increase the density of alcohol-focused establishments, as this property has been having alcohol as a byob venue for the past 8 years.
• Parking overflows into the neighborhood only a few shows per year. Patrons are directed to be respectful to our neighbors. Parking at local entertainment establishments in urban/walkable areas is often a challenge and part of a mixed-use community environment.
• The proposed rezone is not changing the use of the property and there will be no additional noise, littering, loitering, unruly behavior, or strain on public services.
• The current owner has been responsible and responsive.
