South West Mayo Development Company has been a powerful source for good for almost a quarter of a century. It has made a huge contribution to economic and social development in South West Mayo. No organisation has done more to successfully promote volunteerism and community building. It is close to the people, works hand in glove with the people and it would be a most negative step if its autonomy was taken away and absorbed into any new Co Council structures.
