Don't undo all the good work done by these companies, they know their local area better than anyone.

FORUM Connemara are doing a fabulous job, and making a huge difference to this lovely but disadvantaged area. What makes it work is their detailed knowledge of the needs and opportunities of the area - impossible if the programme were not located right here. I also know from personal experience that they take a strategic view on the Programme - their grasp of strategic segmentation to suit Connemara's needs is of great value - and they are not only helpful but impartial in their management of all aspects of the LEADER and Local Community Development Programmes. Please keep them in place as the Programme's managers for the period 2014-2020.

It would be a great shame if Local Development Companies like Avondhu Blackwater Partnership were no longer to help the local communities.

The local people that we have been working with have been extremly professional and an incredible help to our business. This could never have happened , in my opinion at a county or all Ireland level.

The very nature of life in rural Ireland means that it is crucial that Local Development companies remain. They support our communities in so many ways. They bring cohesion, and they help us to survive by gathering people together, and educating us in how to work together for the benefit of all.
