Local Development Companies have been a vital cog in economic activity. In fact in rural area there would be very little activity without the aid that stems from them.

It is critical that we continue to support the experienced local development companies in Ireland who are on the ground helping small start-up businesses which provide the core of indigenous employment in this country.

South Kerry Development Partnership understands the needs of community development companies such as Forbairt na Dromoda and are the best placed organization to work with us into the future because they have a long standing commitment to community work.

What will the employees do if this happens. What will replace the services they provide. I'm fed up with politicians closing down Ireland while spouting how great they are.

Ballyhoura group is a very important part of the community in Stag Park and its value and dedication by the group in organising events in particular for the children and youths of this comminity with dedication is an acting role in the past, present and hopefully future is without a doubt a necessary and compulsory part of our community in order for it to continue to flourish and impact in a postive way.

Rural development will die a fast death if such supporting companys similar to Ballyhoura disappear. Along with Muintir na Tire they are the embodiment of rural progress and sustaining the quality of country life

Stop interfering with what works, leave the local developments get on with doing the work that they have successfully been doing for the past two decades.
