We wish to support the continuation of the role of the 50 existing, experienced Local Development Companies in Ireland. We have had wonderful support from Southwest Mayo Development Company particularly in securing Leader Funding for our extension. We hope that their role in supporting community groups like ourselve will continue into the future. e

WLD has been crucial in community building in County Wexford. They have been extremely helpful to Askamore and many communities that I know. Wexford needs WLD and amalgamating it with the Local Authority would be utter madness and detremental for our County

This company has supported very many projects countrywide, and speaking for this locality East Cork, I think it would be a shame to let such an innovative local development company just die.

Ballyhoura Development offer so much opportunity and support in our region, their loss would be devastating to the local rural communities.

It would be a tragedy for all local coimmunities if this initiative was scrapped
