The LDC's are the heart of many communities and grew up with them.

Local Development Companies have been the backbone of development in our communities. We have established strong and trusted links with their personnel, who understand the hurdles communities face on the ground and who are available to assist at seemingly any time of the day or night. It is difficult to see how their performance in this role can be replaced and it is even more difficult to understand why anyone would attempt to sever the support network they have built up over many years.

The LDC's help to make worth living for many people and it is unthinkable that we could lose any of them.

Offaly Local Development Company has delivered an excellent package of programmes, services and supports for rural development in Co Offaly during the period 2009 - 2014. It makes no sense to attempt to change a system that has been consistent in delivery of service, efficiency and professionalism. Why attempt to fix something that isn't broken?
