Please listen to those that know. Bearuocrats DO NOT KNOW nor do they LISTEN. ENOUGH with the side swiping and BAD BUSINESS moves in the name of GOOD GOVERNANCE because it isn't and the angry people feel the more they will retaliate at the polls. Have a mind to what happened to Fianna Fáil. And noone ever thought they would be as decimated as they were.

As a local business owner I can honestly say that without West Limerick Resources we would have never gotten off the ground. They are an integral part of the community. It would be to the detriment of local communities to see them gone.

Local development companies in Limerick, Clare and Tipperary have achieved much in past 20+ years. And they focus on sustainable community development.

Local development companies help to empower local communities. Up to now they have one brilliant work and should be encouraged to go on doing so.

This service is so important to the growth of our country, the work that is done goes unseen. This is not just a shame if it is changed it will damage growth in Ireland and undo so much great work that has been done.

My LDC, and more importantly the people who represent it, have helped me through a very difficult time in my life and given me hope that I can achieve my goals in the future. What they represent can't be handed over to free market economics because hope and empowerment are priceless. Have we really forgotten so quickly where unsustainable growth got us?

This is an organisation that has dedicated staff who were always at hand to give advice to those of us who had business ideas. I am grateful to Ballyhoura Development for it many years of help and support and I wish to have this service into the future not just for me but for all those who will come in the future with good sound business ideas but need to be mentored and grant aided.
