This would be a great addition to our community. The current facility is outdated and an eye sore . The city needs to give into some changes because our economy depends on it. This project is more important than just a couple seniors who are living in the past .

The facility has never looked worse than now and a private investment can best redevelop the area. The city has had the opportunity to make improvements but never did. The nice pool is used very little . Time to move on.

I signed the protest petition. I believed their claims of a "Lido Beach takeover!" We have parties 4 times a year on that beach...how dare they take it over! Then I went to the recent City Commission meeting dressed in red to oppose this calamity. I listened to both sides, and I did an about-face. I now completely support the privately funded renovations and continued maintenance! Cheers!
