It’s not simply about responsible growth, but financial impact of that growth. The county needs to fully understand the real infrastructure cost of a home added to that specific area, and offset that cost with builder impact fees. It is financially irresponsible to burden the existing tax base with the increased expense for roads, drainage, schools, police and fire protection. Examine the additional property tax that will be generated from a subdivision, determine infrastructure cost for the homes/citizens added, then impose a builder impact fee for the difference. Communities have been doing this for decades.

Over development needs to stop. Infrastructure can't handle all this growth. Developers need to be held accountable for pollution caused by clear cutting the land.

We have to have smart growth. Unfettered growth, without attention to infrastructure is a recipe for disaster. Why should the taxpayers pay to correct the mess these builders are creating? Drainage issues, massive traffic, need for new schools, more police and firemen. We pay in perpetuity for the growth and the builders make all the money. How is this good for us? Enough is enough.

The developers have shown they care nothing about our wonderful community, it is only about the almighty dollar. We as neighbors need to protect what we have.

Stop these greedy developers from destroying our land and our wildlife. Who made you God! This is God’s land , not yours. You want to put up cracker box houses thrown up in a day but they collapse! Would not buy one of these if they paid me to!!! Evil developers!!

I realize that there is going to be growth in the area, but there is a major difference between responsible and carefully thought out growth and irresponsible growth carried out for profit only. Maybe some of those pushing for such uncontrolled growth need to consider how they would react to such growth in their own neighborhoods before advocating it in other locations.

Please allow Lexington County time to plan for future development in our area. Our roads are not able to sustain the level of traffic we have now.

The moratorium is much needed to provide time to come to reasonable solutions to our overcrowding issues
Please control the growth.
Take the time to plan for growth the right way.
