This petition supports Congressional action on Federal legislation to reduce helicopter noise in Los Angeles. In December 2013, Southern California Congressmembers Schiff, Waxman, Cardenas, Lowenthal, Sherman, and Bass requested the House Subcommittee on Transportation Housing and Urban Development to include a provision in the FY14 appropriations bill directing the Federal Aviation Administration to take steps to reduce the disruption caused by helicopters in Los Angeles. The undersigned strongly support the Congressmembers’ request and urge the Subcommittee Chairman, the Honorable Tom Latham, and the Subcommittee Ranking Member, the Honorable Ed Pastor, to include such a provision.
