Katerina came to my attention a few years ago as a very talented and passionate middle eastern dance teacher and performer. When I heard about her operation and near loss of leg I was terribly upset for her and the the greater dance community.

Katerina has been an inspiration for me for several years. Because I find her to be one of the best dancers in the genre worldwide, and because she so strongly advocates staying true & close to the culture and heritage of the genre. Raqs Sharki is a living art and Katerina is one of its most prominent ambassadors.

Artists ourselves should be protected even if a form isn't recognized in the eye of public. We are also like any other people with a normal job, the only thing is, we do not have a stable income. And that's because we have a commitment to our passion. Respect that

Dancer it is a profession, requires study, discipline, practice and years of experience to be pro..., same as any other professions. Respect for dancers all over the world!
Fingers crossed for a fair outcome!
