I am requesting your help to support Ka Umeke Kaʻeo Public Charter School (KUK) to help ask to extend our time with Keaukaha Elementary School. Due to set backs, the facilities for KUK has not been built and it still trying to get the approval from the community to allow the road to the site. On June 3, 2017 KUK is being asked to vacate the property. KUK has no where to put Kindergarten through Second Grade. Third Grade through Eighth Grade are being held on another property. Our efforts are not against Keaukaha Elementary School or their principal and staff. Our efforts are to ensure appropriate space for our haumāna. Therefore everything we are doing are coming from a place of aloha for all haumāna in Keaukaha. As the first Hawaiian language immersion program in the State of Hawaiʻi it is important for us to stay at the Keaukaha Elementary School campus until we can acquire appropriate and safe facilities for the haumāna.
