I don't know the story here, but I find it hard to imagine that losing Jody could be beneficial to Yolo Hospice. She is a gem and a bearer of much of the organization's history. I sincerely hope this decision will be carefully reconsidered.

Jody has a loving heart and beautiful soul that represented YH of the mission statement and the core values. To receive an e- mail of her last day, felt like the heart and soul was ripped out of YH... you are truly missed xoxo

I was shocked to hear Jody was terminated at Yolo Hospice. Her integrity and positive attitude is a tremendous asset to the Yolo Hospice.

I have been a Hospice volunteer for 17 years when it was a small group of loving and compassionate people coming together to represent and build Yolo Hospice. Jody Norten has always been a key memeber of that team and an "example" of how to serve this community. I feel like Nancy Hardaker, that surely this situation could have been handled in a less drastic manner that would still preserve the Hospice we have come to know,love and respect.

Jody is an amazing human being, she has given so much to every person she has come across. My heart breaks thinking that YH and this community may never get to feel this womans amazing warmth and calm loving support again. She is a true giver! Seldom am i left speachless but this action has left me with no words. How after 19 years of service could she just be let go? YH is not that type of agnecy! We must ask ourseleves what direction is YH going? Losing Jody is like losing a huge piece of what YH was buit on. I urge the powers that be to listen to their community, the many families and both the paid employees as well as the volunteers of YH. Jody deserves better after 19 years and YH deserves to have her back where she can continue giving and serving this communiyt that she loves so very much.

Jody has always been extremely passionate about Yolo Hospice since she first started there 19 years ago. She has put her heart and soul into making Yolo Hospice an exemplary organization. She has shown nothing but complete dedication to her job for the 19 years she has worked at Yolo Hospice.

Jody Norton is a human being just like the rest of us, with strengths and weaknesses. That being said, Jody has some of the most incredible strengths and has given every one of them to Yolo Hospice, the staff and patients and families for 19 years. 19 years. Her expertise, compassion, and heart has touched every one of us. Jody has always been a touchstone and guiding presence for those of us who work at Yolo Hospice. Jody is missed terribly and there must be some kind of compromise to be reached that would allow Jody to return to Yolo Hospice, an entity she has helped shape and keep afloat.

When ever there is change there is great opportunity. The change of management needs to work with the staff before any staffing changes occur. To come in and fire a 19 year employee shortly after arriving is not the best uses of resources. Where was the paper trail of poor proformance report's to justify firing . Nurses are educated caring loyal persons. Not threats to ceo management. Like any well oiled machine remove the cog and you got nothing but trouble. A well oiled machine well respected can't preform with missing parts. There were better uses of this fine woman's skills and expertice.

Jody is Yolo hospice and Yolo hospice is Jody. She is the heart and the soul of YH. She is the most knowledgeable nurse in the organization. Her expertise, integrity, compassion, honesty, dedication, principles, ethics, morals, righteousness, decency fairness, loving and giving what made YH a perfect place to work and a great organization. It was what drew many of us to work in the organization and what made us feel a family, with a sense of caring and joint responsibility. YH without Jody is not the YH many of us have known.
