The show should still go on. Trey with the help of other did there best on putting the show on. We as the people of Jeanerette comes together as a whole with drama and always up hold the rules

I, Alderwoman Mariah Clay, City of Jeanerette am expressing my concern of the decision made of cancellation of Jeanerette’s Homecoming Tailgate Performances! Yes I totally public safety is our biggest concern and as leaders we strive to provide safe environments for our community especially our youth! I won’t go into detail of any matters but only suggestions of requesting the Jeanerette Alumni and other coordinators to increase security (off duty law enforcement officers) presence to the public the day of the homecoming event! The performances are only additions to the homecoming preparations of this years! However, there are multiple incidents occurring across the parish where we see any cancellations or decisions made to prevent other incidents! This is definitely a community concern of course but we definitely want to be treated equally to others in the parish! I truly feel increasing police presence would be better than canceling the event! Thank you

There should have been an opportunity to make adjustments instead of forcing the artist to be canceled!
