What would be wrong with having a place to stay at the beach? The whole NJ shore has big beautiful mansions on the beach-empty and the owners don't even rent them.

I love OCNJ. I have been vacationing there since I was four years old. My mom lived there for 10 years. I also love the Icona hotels in the other New Jersey shore towns. The planned hotel for Ocean City looks amazing. I honestly can’t believe the small town politics that are creating such an issue to have this hotel built. It literally will be an iconic hotel in an iconic town. Please keep pressing forward!

We love OC NJ but we would really like a super elegant place to stay like the INCONA (have stayed in Avalon a few times) where we don’t have to commit to a house, a place w housekeeping, and a place with some decent restaurants.
Ocean City needs this upgrade for travelers w MK ey that don’t want to spend a whole week in OC.
