Wonderland has been a rusting mess for many years! The Ferris wheel has been half light for the better part of the last 5 years. The Icona resort would be a tremendous addition to Ocean City!

30 year resident, year-round of Ocean City. I’m on the boardwalk weekly riding my bike and over these 30 years. I’ve watched the quality of the stores go downhill. We desperately need to reset the type of development we would like on the boardwalk. Mita’s success is proven fact. It’s imperative the council votes in favor of his development. This would bring in more dollars into the boardwalk to keep it at the level it needs to be for the next 50 years! Thank you.

This has been beneficial to Avalon. It allows families to come for weddings and other events and stay without insane price tags. As long as the rooms are affordable, which Avalon is starting to be less of at the hotel (homes already are), then this could benefit local businesses.

I believe that while preserving the heritage of Ocean City, as a community, we must embrace the future.
However, I also ask that any plans to build a designer hotel respect the prohibition of selling alcohol; the option exists as is the case with The Flanders to have a “supper club” membership included in the room rate at this new chic destination.
I believe preserving the BEST of the past and promoting the BEST of the future are not mutually exclusive!

A hotel and facility of this quality done by the same group that developed the ICONA Resort in Avalon can only make Ocean City a more attractive destination for visitors and guests. The city must move beyond the residents that do not want change. Mr Mita will do what is right and build a hotel that will be an asset to the city!

Without this, 10 years from now we will be looking at a rusted out, dilapidated, Wonderland Pier site. Do it.
