Legislation has been introduced in Congress to create a Separate Benefit Category for Complex Rehab Technology to protect and improve access to these important products and services for people with significant functional and physical limitations.
Congressman Joseph Crowley of New York, along with a number of other Republican and Democratic co-sponsors, have introduced H.R. 4378. "Ensuring Access to Quality Complex Rehabilitation Act of 2012".
We strongly urge all Members of Congress to sign on as a co-sponsor of this Bill or introduce a companion Bill in the Senate.

Watching my brother struggle daily with equipment that fails to meet his basic needs is the reason I started this. I have been spending my nights sending these names to offices in Washington to show them that this is not just policy but a matter of real dignity for our loved ones.

Watching this movement grow brings me back to the nights I spent fighting for my brother to get the mobility equipment he deserves. Seeing so many people recognize that this technology is a necessity rather than a luxury makes me realize we are shifting the conversation for families just like ours.
