What a beautiful scenic spot for a hotel would attract lots of tourists. As a Ballina native who has lived in Dublin for 26 years myself and my husband love returning to mayo regularly and are always looking for new hotels to stay in . Pontoon is an ideal location .

This hotel has part of the fabric of Pontoon for such a long time. My nephew for married there. We used to have our tea there after a long day at Lough Conn. It needs to be preserved and updated

The County needs another hotel, especially in this fantastic location with excellent view. Providing work outside our county town is badly need in Mayo.

Rural tourism needs to be encouraged. Pontoon is an area of scenic beauty and attracts hundred of visitors and this area currently does not provide the necessary accommodation and dining facilities to support rural tourism. The local community welcomes this development and as the developers are local to the area they are investing more than their hard earned cash.
