Many Washington residents are still uninsured. About 1 in 10 have no health coverage. As Washingtonians, we are spending more money than what health insurances are actually covering. About 50% of people end up in debt with the high cost of medical bills. If the bills HB 1025 and SB 5132 were to be passed, it would provide Washington residents a set of health services. Overall, the money we currently spend on health insurance and health care would go into the trust. The Washington health security trust would ultimately provide all residents high quality health care.
