The prices of these institutions are horrendous. We as New Yorkers should be able to visit more of these places for free without added on fees to visit certain exhibits. Many people cannot afford these prices.

To reduce the expenses of visiting Museums, Zoos, and Botanic Gardens in NYC, you need an annual membership. Yet, you can visit ANY cultural institution, in Washington D.C., for free!

I have never been charged an admission fee, to visit the world renowned Museums, National Zoo & Botanic Garden in our Nation's Capital. And, I resent the fact that I have to purchase a MEMBERSHIP in order reduce the expenses of visiting the cultural institutions in New York City.

Other states provide free admission for state residents. I’ve always found that NY state doesn’t and always found that to be wrong.

As a single parent it is very expensive to raise a child in NY, It is our obligation as tax payers to ensure our kids get what the law entitles them with.
