I have been bringing my dog to Candice for over 6 years. (I travel over 45 minutes to see her)
She is one of the most honest, kindest and hardworking people I know.
The time, love and individual attention she gives to each and every dog she grooms is bar none! All you have to do is talk to Candice for 5 minutes and know she is a person of the utmost integrity and a true heart of gold.
Please allow Candice to open her business. Our dogs need her just as much as she needs them!

Candace’s has clients from all over the region who travel to Townsend and contribute to economy in a very good way. She is definitely a plus to this lovely little town.

Candice deserves better. The Town of Townsend should be bending over backwards to help her, not throwing roadblocks, adding unnecessary reviews, and imposing fees to fuel their outdated processes. Candice is a kind, honest, and wonderfully dedicated mother who's also a master of her trade; she provides a service that many of us drive nearly an hour to get. It's also her way of supporting a family. Unfortunately, Townsend officials seem to have forgotten the value of entrepreneurship in the community and want Candice to stop working for MONTHS while they continually investigate whether her tiny operation (with dogs that don't even shed!) complies with town septic rules (even after she spent $15K on a new system) which has had both her contractor and one town inspector scratching their heads in bewilderment. To add insult to injury, Townsend is forcing Candice to pay for the appeal meetings and for advertisements (no joke) to attract an audience. One wonders if she’ll be required to bring refreshments as well. In sum, we're seeing massive town government dysfunction on display here -- one in which local tax dollars are being wasted to cripple a good business that serves the community.

Candace is an asset to your community. She is and always has been an upstanding member of any community she has ever lived in. Her grooming business is vital to pet owners. She has had many clients for years because they trust her with their pets and know that she does a wonderful job…never cuts corners.
Please allow Candace to open her business and thrive. Small businesses are the heart of a community.
