I believe they could come up with a different ( not so drastic) punishment if they feel so strongly that there needs to be one. As unfortunate as the situation was it sounds as if eventually it was handled appropriately and no one was majorly harmed. This is just what I have gathered from the various news reports I read.

When did 20 years of experience and good service stop counting? I completely disagree with the move to terminate Sue for one day's performance!

I've known Sue all my life and one bad night should never undermine 20 years of good nights or helpful service to the community. Please remember how very human YOU are, and take into consideration the 20 years of days and nights that so drastically contrast any negative situation.

We've all had a day that we would like to erase. Twenty years of service deserves, at the very least, a second chance. Terminating Sue over this issue would be an unnecessary and exaggerated penalty, as a knee-jerk reaction to her mistake.

20 + years of impeccable service should not be erased in the name of politicking. Cutting off a hand is not an appropriate action to a drop of spilt milk.

There is no reason that sue should be fired over this dramatic act of attention that happens on a regular basis from the alleged caller!
