TheGhana Federation of the Disabled (GFD) reports that, the 25 special schools ( people with disabilities / challenges. i.e. blind, deaf, dump, crippled, etc )in Ghana are faced with financial and logistical challenges with many students cramped into a single classroom while lack of potable water, lighting system, toilet facilities, appropriate desks and specially trained teachers continue to undermine academic work,and there are possibilitiesthat final year students in these schools might miss the opportunity to write the upcoming Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) due to lack of funds.
